This page covers what happens to your information when you use RamayTranslation. We've kept it in plain English instead of the usual wall of legal text. If anything here is confusing, just ask us from the contact page.
The text you translate
When you hit Translate, whatever you typed gets sent to a third-party translation service, which hands the result back to your browser. We don't train any models on it. We don't have our own models to train. And since there are no accounts here, we've got no way to tie your text to you in the first place.
A word of caution: don't paste passwords, bank details, or anything private. Once text goes through an outside service, it's out of our hands. Think of the box like a computer at a library. It's fine for everyday sentences, but it's not the place for secrets.
What our server logs
Like pretty much every website, our server keeps basic technical records: your IP address, which browser you're on, the pages you opened, and when. It helps us catch abuse and figure out why something broke or loaded slowly. These logs get cleared out after a while, and we don't use them to build any kind of profile on you.
Cookies
We use the bare minimum. There may be an essential cookie or two for things like keeping the contact form secure. If ads are running, the ad networks will set their own cookies to count views and stop you seeing the same ad ten times in a row. You can block cookies in your browser if you want; the translator itself will still work fine.
Analytics and ads
We might use an analytics tool to see the big picture, like how many people visit and which language pairs are popular. It's all counted in aggregate, not person by person. We don't sell personal data, full stop. Where Google AdSense or a similar program is switched on, it runs under its own privacy policy on top of this one.
Children
This is a general tool for everyone, and we don't knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If you're a parent and you think your child sent us something personal, get in touch and we'll delete it.
If this changes
We'll update this page when we add features or change how things work, and the date up top will move when we do. If you keep using the site after that, we'll take it that you're okay with the new version.
